Saying goodbye

It is the last day of school at Star Learners for YX. He will be going to a new school which is nearer to his grandma's. We have to move him again as my mum is helping to take care of her.

YX and his friends just woke up from their afternoon nap. They will be having their tea break after they helped to keep the bedsheets and bed. The kids queued and walked in a orderly manner to the toilet to wash their hands. Everybody finished their bowl of noodles without a fuss. YX then distributed the goodie bags to all his friends.

YX and his buddy. They always 'fight' and play together. The teachers told me they are very good friends. Guess YX is gonna miss his playmate!

Wonder what the kids are chatting about. They look so adorable! Last but not least, a group photo and lots of hugs are not to be forgotten.

Lunar new year celebration at school

Our parents are invited to celebrate the new year at the school and there's lion dance performance as well as snacks provided.

New Child Care Centre

I'm in a new child care centre this month. Other than the morning 难舍难分episodes with mummy, I am adapting well in school. However, I got bitten on two occasions by two different school mates in the 2 weeks that I'm there. Well, once by a classmate and once by a 18 month old toddler. We celebrated lunar new year today and had hot pot!

Last day at Cherie Hearts

A memorable stay at Cherie Hearts where I learnt a lot of social and self help skills from. We had some pictures taken with my dear teachers 王老师and 杨老师. Not forgetting Ms Michelle! We had to leave for these few months as mummy will be due in 2 months time. I had to go to a new school as it will be much more convenient for us nearer to home. We hope to go back to Cherie Hearts again when mummy's back to work after her maternity leave.

Bitten

I got bitten on my little left finger which is sore and reddish and the teeth mark is pretty deep. I showed mummy in school and narrated the story to her during bedtime. I told her I am building a house for daddy and mummy when my friend (1 month older than me) came over and snatch my toy. Well, we both fought over the toys and he bit my finger. Mummy had asked Mdm Wong who was the culprit and she told mummy that she could not disclose the name. I immediately said the name out loud and this embarrased the teacher! Well, mummy only asked Mdm Wong to inform the parents about the incident. She then told me that biting is not right. I can simply offer to share my toys and tell my dear friend "Come! Let's share and play together!" She hopes I do not counter back by biting too. Kids are kids. Fighting over toys are norm and mummy's just glad that I am not the bully instead.

1st Class Photo

This is the class photo mummy paid $30 for. We finally got the class photo along with 4 passport size ones as well as a 5R size nicely framed. The Playgroup 1 class is split into 2 groups and I am in the 1B class. I am able to name all my friends in the photo as well as the names of 1A class. My favourite partner is Xavier. He's the chubby boy in the 2nd row, directly above me.

My 1st Christmas Tree

The school had asked us to make a christmas related project out of recycled materials. Together with mummy, we made our very 1st little christmas tree. Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!

National Day celebration at school

I celebrate National Day in school with my friends and teachers today. There is a performance by all the students and playgroup 1 performed "Chan Mali Chan". I also get to taste different cultural food. It's my first taste of putumayam too.

Meet the Parent

This is mummy's first "Meet the Teacher" to review my progress in the child care centre. The school did a excellent job in understanding and taking care of me. My dear teachers showed mummy my art works in class, update her of what I've been learning and doing. There's a special portfolio file on me too.

A day at CC

First Day at CCC

It's my first day at Cherie Hearts Child Care Centre. Mummy and daddy sent me there and I adapted really well to the new environment. There are a few kids crying the entire day but I do not even miss mummy when she sneaks out. After my milk feed, I slept around 3 hours with Ms Rena patting me. Ms Wang showed us a tortoise and tell us a story about the tortoise and the hare. All of us in Playgroup 1 had a lot of fun.

Checklist for my backpack:

# diapers x 5 pcs (I only wear when I sleep)

Mummy bought these stickers with laminate to label my bottles and items. It's waterproof! The cloth labels that mummy ordered online is not here yet hence she attempt to cross stitch instead. Thanks for the idea, Auntie Irene.

PS: Mummy did not stay with me the next two days. I blowed goodbye kisses to her on my 2nd day when Ms Rena carried me into the canteen for my breakfast. Mummy's so proud of me. She's glad that I'm having fun in the centre and she need not worry about me while she's at work.
